Michael Elliot-Murray has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Michael started their career as a Rental Consultant at Jawitz Properties, responsible for leasing exclusive residential properties and managing tenants and properties. Michael then joined BMW Group South Africa as a Channel Sales Executive, where they pioneered an innovative sales technique and strategy, acquiring new customers and providing personalized service. After that, Michael worked as a Senior Team Rugby Coach at St. Columba's College, focusing on communication, organization, and development of the rugby program, as well as developing the athletics program.
Michael then transitioned to Because Creative Experiences Ireland as an Account Manager, executing integrated marketing events and managing accounts. At Houzz, they served as a Strategic Account Executive for the UK & Ireland, connecting homeowners, design enthusiasts, and professionals through an online remodeling and design platform. Following that, Michael worked as an Account Manager at Wunderman Thompson, advising international clients on cross-media projects and ensuring their successful execution.
Moving on, they took on the role of Head of Business Development, Europe at Brave.ag, where they managed strategic growth initiatives and oversaw daily business operations. As the Global Business Development Lead at hy.am Studios GmbH, Michael played a key role in the company's growth plans. Most recently, they joined DEPT® as a Senior Account Manager, driving sales volume and managing complex digital client projects.
Currently, Michael is working as a Business Development Manager at Picter, a contest platform that connects creators with top creative opportunities and enables brands to engage with a global network of talent.
Michael Elliot-Murray's education history begins in 2006 when they attended Pretoria Boys High School. Michael completed their matric there, studying subjects such as Physical Sciences, accounting, maths, English, Afrikaans, geography, and life orientation.
In 2009, Michael participated in the People to People Leadership Summit at Harvard University, where they focused on community leadership.
Moving forward to 2014, they obtained a Professional Diploma in Project Management from Varsity College.
After that, in 2015, Michael enrolled at IBAT College Dublin and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business Management. Michael successfully completed this program in 2018.
Additionally, in 2018, Michael acquired a Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing from Shaw Academy.
