Mercedes Espinoza Monroy

Mercedes Espinoza Monroy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Mercedes began their career at Empresas Polar as an Auxiliar legal, where they worked from 2013 to 2015. Mercedes then progressed to become an Analista de Asuntos Legales at the same company, working there from 2015 to 2018.

In 2018, Mercedes joined two different companies simultaneously. Mercedes became an Abogado at Guadarrama, Espinoza & Asociados, where they worked from February 2018 to January 2023. At the same time, they also started working at Marine Management de Venezuela, C.A. as an Abogado, from September 2018 to December 2021.

From November 2019 to March 2021, Mercedes worked at Zumaque Capital Partners as an Abogado. Their responsibilities at Zumaque included drafting and reviewing labor, commercial, and civil contracts. Mercedes also handled the preparation of minutes for board meetings, the incorporation of companies, and the analysis of various legal documents related to leases, succession chains, royalties, copyrights, and exploitation rights.

Most recently, Mercedes joined Yummy (YC S21) in March 2021 as a Legal Manager. Mercedes later assumed the role of Head of Legal & Compliance in September 2022, which they currently hold. No end date has been specified for their current position at Yummy (YC S21).

Mercedes Espinoza Monroy began their education at Colegio Mater Salvatoris in 1997 and completed their studies in 2010, earning a Bachiller en Humanidades degree. In 2010, they enrolled at UCAB - Universidad Católica Andrés Bello, where they pursued a degree in Law and completed their studies in 2015. Later, in 2016, Mercedes attended Universidad Metropolitana (VE) and obtained a specialization in International Business, which they completed in 2017.
