Jon Ervin

Jon Ervin has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jon started their career as an Admission Representative at the University of Illinois Undergraduate Admissions from 2011 to 2013. Jon then interned at BP in 2013 as an Integrated Supply and Trading Intern. In 2014, they interned at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Technology Consulting Intern. Jon joined Illinois Business Consulting in 2013 as a Project Manager and later became a Senior Manager from 2014 to 2015.

In 2015, Jon became a Senior Associate Consultant at Bain & Company. During their time at Bain, they worked on various projects, including developing a long-term view of the future of mobility, leading a scrum team to reduce costs for a pharmaceutical company, and completing a pricing diagnostic for a global provider of data and telecom infrastructure. Jon left Bain & Company in 2018 to join Chicago Beyond as a Strategy Manager. Chicago Beyond is an impact investor focusing on equity for young people. At Chicago Beyond, Jon led various projects and initiatives until their departure in 2022.

After their stint at Chicago Beyond, Jon worked at Pie for Providers as a Technical Product Manager. Jon was responsible for building the proof-of-concept prototype for a child care subsidy management platform and incorporating user feedback into the prototype. Lastly, in 2022, Jon joined JusticeText as the Chief of Staff.

Jon Ervin completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they attended from 2010 to 2014. In 2012, they also briefly studied at The University of Queensland, although the specific degree and field of study undertaken during that time are unknown.
