Alexander Alvarez

Alexander Alvarez has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Alexander is currently working at Pie Insurance as the Head of Enterprise Technology, where they are responsible for leading and designing the Application Support, IT Operations, Enterprise Business Systems, and IT PMO functions. Prior to that, they were the Director of Enterprise Business Systems at Bottomline Technologies. Alexander has also held positions such as Senior Manager of Business Systems Transformation at PTC and Head of IT Strategy & PMO at Toast, Inc.

Earlier in their career, Alexander worked at athenahealth in multiple roles, including Manager of Operational Excellence and Senior Associate of Strategic Client Operations. Alexander also has experience as a Sales and Marketing Intern at Donahue Industries, Inc., a Substitute Teacher at Shrewsbury Public Schools, and a Facilities Management Intern at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Alexander began their professional journey as a Business Development Intern at Advanced Environmental Solutions, Inc., where they collaborated on developing a business plan for solar panel solutions.

Throughout their career, Alexander has demonstrated their abilities in leading organizational culture shifts, optimizing tool implementations, and coaching and evangelizing technology best practices. Alexander has also contributed to significant cost savings and process improvements in their roles.

Alexander Alvarez completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Engineering and Technical Marketing from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, which they attended from 2008 to 2012. In addition, they obtained various certifications including Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager from Scaled Agile, Inc. in November 2020, Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Inc. in September 2019, and ICAgile Certified Professional from ICAgile in 2019.
