Vlad Preoteasa has over two decades of work experience. In 2001, they began their career as a Systems Specialist at Household International. From 2002 to 2010, they worked at COA Network Inc as a Network Services Manager, where they designed, evolved and adapted all physical and logical infrastructure. In 2010, they became a Network Administrator at Brooklyn Museum, managing backend processes for a massive digital archive. From 2011 to 2016, they were a DevOps Professional & Network Administrator at TNTP, overseeing complete infrastructure procurement, architecture and management. During the same period, they also served as Director of Information Technology at Newlab, developing a unique IT service strategy for early and growth-stage startup member community. In 2016, they became a Senior Information Technology Project Manager at Industry Giant LLC, advising startups and SMB on IT strategy, transition, and process. In 2021, they joined Comport Consulting as a Network Administrator, where they designed, implemented, troubleshooted, analyzed and maintained the IT Infrastructure of internal and external customer environments. Currently, they are a ML Ops Technical Lead at Pienso.

Vlad Preoteasa obtained a BS in Geological Sciences and Physics Minor from Rutgers University between 1993 and 1998. In 2001, they earned an Associate's degree in Network and System Administration/Administrator from The Chubb Institute. In addition, they have obtained various certifications from edX, Ekahau, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Nutanix, and Cisco, including an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Kubernetes in September 2022, an Ekahau Certified Survey Engineer (ECSE) in December 2017, an ECSE Design in October 2021, an Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA) in June 2021, a Nutanix Certified Systems Engineer - Core in July 2021, a Cisco Small Business Specialization (SMBSE) in May 2021, and an ECSE Troubleshooting in December 2019.
