Jasmine Tran is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in management and program development. Currently serving as the Regional Services Manager at Pierce County Library System since October 2022, Jasmine previously held the position of Division Manager for Programs at Houston Public Library, overseeing strategic implementations across system-wide initiatives from August 2021 to September 2022. Jasmine's career also includes eight years at Alachua County Library District, first as Senior Library Manager, where the focus included adult literacy and programming, and earlier roles as Librarian Supervisor and Librarian. Jasmine holds a Master of Library & Information Science from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Florida.

The nationally acclaimed Pierce County Library System serves 600,000 people throughout Pierce County with 19 libraries and online services. The system is the fourth largest in the state and is funded primarily through property taxes. The Library provides services and programs directly to people in adult care facilities or who are homebound, and to children in child care centers and schools. Pierce County Libraries are located at Anderson Island, Bonney Lake, Buckley, DuPont, Eatonville, Fife, Gig Harbor, Graham, Key Center, Lakewood (temporarily closed), Milton/Edgewood, Orting, Parkland/Spanaway, Pierce County Library Administrative Center, South Hill, Steilacoom, Summit, Sumner, Tillicum and University Place. Pierce County Library is an independent municipal corporation and operates as a junior taxing district.
