Muhannad Asfour has a wealth of experience in software development and systems programming. Muhannad began their career in 2007 as an IT Specialist at Conestoga-Rovers & Associates (CRA), A GHD Company, where they optimized in-house platforms and computer systems for maximum performance, adapted the Linux OS for interoperability in a Windows-based network, and installed and configured essential services. In the same year, they also worked as an IT Specialist & Developer at eSolutionsGroup, where they developed a customized database backend for a Java-based system, tested and debugged Java-based software, and provided technical support for desktop and web-based applications. In 2010, they began working as a Freelance Software Engineer, where they worked on various contract projects, enhanced their skills, and always met or exceeded deadlines. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Software Developer & Analyst at Springboard Management Inc., where they saved the company more than $16,000 CAD/year by fully transitioning all products and services to the cloud, automated manual deployments, and reduced deployment time from approximately 10 minutes to about 35 seconds with full recovery rollback. Finally, from 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Software Development and Systems Program Coordinator and Lead Software Development Specialist at Magna International, where they improved turnaround time by 50%, introduced and standardized statement of requirement documents and stakeholder sign-offs, established a good communication and collaboration process with other Magna plants and divisions in North America, reduced delays from 1200 per week to fewer than 100 per week, and introduced and utilized advanced technology stacks for continuously demanding workloads. In 2021, they began working as a Development Team Manager at PiinPoint.

Muhannad Asfour obtained a Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Computer Science from the University of Windsor between 2006 and 2010. In 2021, they earned two certifications from LinkedIn, one in C# & .NET: Programming and the other in Microservices Foundations.
