James Smith

James Smith, Assoc CIPD, currently serves as Head of HR & Education at Pilgrims Hospices since April 2022. Prior to this role, James held the position of Head of Human Resources at Canterbury Cathedral from October 2018 to April 2022. James has extensive experience in human resources, having worked as an HR Business Partner at Save the Children UK from February 2012 to October 2018, and in various HR roles at Oxfam from 2004 to 2011, including HR and Admin Manager and HR Executive. James began their career in human resources as a Shop Manager at Oxfam and also worked as a Section Manager at Tesco PLC from February 2000 to November 2003.
