Karthik Murugesan

Karthik Murugesan currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Data Engineering & Architecture at PIMCO, where a product mindset and cultural change focused on user-centric development have been established. Prior to this role, Karthik held positions at Capital Group | American Funds as a Data Engineer, leading data and analytics initiatives and implementing a Big Data platform. Experience also includes serving as a Data Management Advisor at Datasparx Inc, Principal Product Manager and Director of Data and Information Services at YP, and various consulting roles at Invitrogen, Staples, Caritor, and Patni Computer Systems. Karthik holds an MS in Information Technology from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad and a BE in Engineering from Bharathidasan University.
