Laura Tait

Laura Tait, CPHR, SHRM-SCP has a strong background in human resources and has held various leadership positions throughout their career. Laura is currently the Chief People and Culture Officer at Pinchin Ltd., where they have been since February 2023. Prior to this role, they served as the Executive Vice President, People & Culture from January 2020 to February 2023, and as the Director, People & Culture from January 2019 to January 2020.

Before joining Pinchin Ltd., Laura worked at Pinchin LeBlanc Environmental Ltd., where they held the position of Director, Operations & Human Resources from September 2015 to January 2019. Prior to that, they served as the Director, Human Resources & Corporate Services from September 2014 to September 2015, and as the Manager, Human Resources & Administration from September 2012 to September 2014.

Laura also gained valuable experience at Ascenta Health Ltd., where they worked as the Manager, Human Resources & Administration from June 2009 to September 2012.

Earlier in their career, Laura held the role of Director of Human Resources at Magneto-Inductive Systems Limited from April 2004 to June 2008, and as the Human Resources Manager at Magneto-Inductive Systems Limited / MISL (USA) from 2002 to 2004.

Laura Tait, CPHR, SHRM-SCP, completed their Bachelor of Commerce degree in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations at Saint Mary's University from 1997 to 2000. Laura also earned a Certificate of Human Resource Management from the same institution during the same period. In addition to their educational qualifications, Laura obtained the Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) certification from CPHR Nova Scotia and the SHRM - Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certification from SHRM.
