Doug Portis

Doug Portis has a strong work experience in the oil and gas industry. Doug started their career as a Geology Intern at ConocoPhillips in 2008, where they gained experience in seismic interpretation and outcrop work. Doug then joined Pioneer Natural Resources in 2010 and held various roles, including Senior Geologist and Manager. In their most recent role as Director of Strategic Planning and Field Development, Doug is responsible for overseeing the company's strategic planning and development initiatives. Throughout their career, Doug has demonstrated expertise in geoscience, exploitation, and development geology.

Doug Portis obtained their bachelor's degree in Geoscience with a specialization in Geology from Winona State University in 2007. Doug then pursued a master's degree in Geology, specializing in the Proterozoic Evolution of the SW United States and the Deliniation of the Mojave-Yavapai Boundary Zone, at Northern Arizona University from 2007 to 2009.
