Halina Mugame

Halina Mugame has an extensive work experience, spanning various roles and industries. Halina currently works at Pipedrive as the Head of Design since July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Group Design Manager at Pipedrive starting in October 2021. Halina also served as the Product Design Manager at Pipedrive from November 2019 to October 2021.

In 2018, Halina worked as a User Experience Designer / Co-starter at VIVITA, Inc., where they contributed to creating environments that inspire creativity for children. Halina was responsible for providing children with 21st-century tools, materials, and a supportive framework.

Halina also has experience in the academic field, having worked at the Estonian Academy of Arts. In 2018, they served as a Researcher and Temporary Digital Product Design BA Program lead. Halina was involved in researching the skills and experience required for the new BA program. Halina also co-designed and launched the program and created promotional videos.

Additionally, Halina worked as a Lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Arts in 2017. Halina conducted an intensive hands-on crash course into Digital Product Design for 3rd year Industrial design students.

Prior to their academic roles, Halina worked in various design positions. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a UX Designer at Pocopay, where they conducted user research, ideated and prototyped new features, and collaborated with the development team. Halina also worked as a UX Designer at ZeroTurnaround from 2014 to 2015, focusing on enhancing the productivity of Java developers.

Furthermore, Halina has experience as an Interaction Designer at Trinidad Consulting from 2011 to 2014. Halina worked on interaction design, usability consulting, user testing, and evaluation projects. Before that, Halina took a two-year break to travel and worked in low-skill jobs to support their travels.

Halina began their career at Skype in 2006, where they initially worked as a Project Manager for the Skype Developer Program, handling developer communications and organizing events. Halina later transitioned to a Project Manager role, managing marketing and web development projects.

Halina's career began in 2003 at Elisa, where they worked as a Project Manager and Analyst in the Services Development Team.

Halina Mugame completed a Master's degree in Digital Experience Design from Hyper Island in 2017-2018. In 2016, they attended a course at the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design Summer School, focusing on Workability Techniques for Better Design. Halina also holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tallinn University, although the specific dates of their studies are unknown. In 2005, they participated in the European Summer University at Cherbourg School of Engineering, where they focused on Innovation and Business Intelligence.
