Wilco Sengers

Wilco Sengers is an experienced professional in materials development and polymer processing, currently serving as the International Project Manager for Material Development at Pipelife since September 2011, focusing on plastic pipe systems within the Corporate R&D team. Prior to this role, Sengers worked as a Material Developer at Draka, where the emphasis was on halogen-free flame-retardant materials for cables. Early career roles included a Post Doc at Delft University of Technology researching nanofillers, a Product Developer at Dolphys Medical working on drug delivery implants, a Research Assistant at Akzo Nobel Chemicals developing peroxide cross-linking systems, and a PhD student at Delft University of Technology investigating thermoplastic elastomer blends. Sengers holds a PhD in Polymer Processing from Delft University of Technology, an MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Groningen, and a BSc in Polymer Chemistry from HAN University of Applied Sciences.
