George Tanampasides

George Tanampasides has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies. George started their career as a Software Engineer at Shipmanagement Expert Systems in 1995, followed by a role as a Software Engineer at Viohalco from 1996 to 1998. In 1998, George joined Eurobank as an Analyst - Programmer, where they worked until 2002.

After leaving Eurobank, George joined Hellenic Bank in 2002 as the Manager of Information Systems Analysis, Design, and Development. George led a team of business and IT professionals and was responsible for various tasks including business analysis, regulatory reporting operations management, data management policies, and more. In 2012, they became the Manager of Information Security, Business Continuity, and Data Quality at Hellenic Bank, overseeing the information security unit and its operations.

George's next career move was to Piraeus Bank in 2013, where they initially served as the Information Security Officer in the Group IT Security and Control Office until 2015. George then moved on to become the Director of Risk Data and Solutions in the Group Control of the Group Risk Management Division. In this role, they managed a team of senior risk professionals and was responsible for risk data governance, compliance monitoring, and representing the Group in committees and industry fora.

George Tanampasides has a diverse educational background. George obtained an Executive MBA degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2001 and a degree in Information Systems from Athens University of Economics and Business in 1993. George also earned an MSc. in Banking from Elliniko Anoikto Panepistimio in 2006. In addition to their formal education, George has obtained several certifications, including Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression from SAS in 2020, Regulatory Compliance in the Financial Sector from the National University of Athens in 2013, CISM from ISACA in 2013, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2007, CISA from ISACA in 2006, and PMP from PMI in 2006.
