Vassilis Orphanides has extensive work experience in marketing, communications, and loyalty programs. Vassilis is currently the Director of Corporate Communications at Piraeus Bank, where they oversee group marketing, customer experience, and loyalty initiatives. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Loyalty Head at Piraeus Bank, where they successfully launched the bank-wide loyalty program and received numerous international awards for the program. Before joining Piraeus Bank, Vassilis worked as the Senior Manager of Retail Marketing Communications, Customer Experience & Loyalty, and Manager of Customer Experience & Loyalty at the bank.

Earlier in their career, Vassilis held the position of Client Service Director at Allen Warden Politics / Business United, where they managed holistic communication campaigns for various clients. Vassilis also served as the Executive Manager at WEST SA, overseeing promotional campaigns, events, and sponsorships for clients such as Wind and Samsung. Vassilis gained experience as the Client Service Director / Deputy General Manager at H+K Strategies UK, where they worked on communication campaigns for clients such as Athenian Brewery and P&G. Vassilis started their career as the Client Service Director at J. Walter Thompson Worldwide, specializing in campaigns for Athenian Brewery and Delta Dairy.

Additionally, Vassilis has experience working at the EDEE Hellenic Association of Communications Agencies, where they were involved in digital presence and event administration.

Vassilis Orphanides has a diverse educational background. Vassilis obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication & Mass Media from Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, where they also pursued their PhD in Corporate Communication & New Media from 1996 to 2001. Before that, they completed their High School Degree at the Experimental School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. In addition to their formal education, Vassilis has obtained several certifications throughout their career in areas such as leadership development, performance management, digital marketing, and coaching. Vassilis also attended a course on communication and public politics at the University of Montpellier in 1992.
