Peter Forbes

Peter Forbes has been working in the financial and environmental industries since 1994. Peter began their career as the Chief Investment Officer at Lepercq Lynx Investment Advisory. In 2007, Peter became a Partner at ZFB China, introducing U.S. businesses to the Chinese marketplace. In 2013, Peter started Eco-Educational Design/Peter's Plants, a distributor of Pittmoss eco-soils and animal bedding products in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. Peter also provided home-delivery of vegetables, herbs, and native pollinator plants in the WDC area, as well as installing portable raised-bed gardens using Root Pouches and Pittmoss soils. In 2010, Peter became President of Trees for the Planet, providing educational classes and hands-on learning about native gardens and ecosystems for students, and supporting various tree-planting projects in the Mid-Atlantic and Appalachian regions. In 2015, Peter became Managing Member of Forbes Fiduciary & Financial, LLC, working with attorneys and other client professionals to discover, identify, quantify, and solve a range of client fiduciary issues and financial problems. In 2020, Peter became PittMoss® East Coast Rep and CEO of Eco Educational Design, providing education and marketing of the full range of Pittmoss eco-soils and eco-bedding products to a wide range of companies and industries on the east coast.

Peter Forbes attended Alfred State College - SUNY College of Technology from 1980-1981, where they earned an Associate's degree in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences. Peter also attended SUNY at Alfred during the same time period, earning an Associate of Arts and Sciences (AAS) in Agricultural Science and Management. From 1981-1983, they attended Virginia Tech, where they earned a BS in Ag Econ and Finance. In 1997, they obtained a CFA from http://basno.com/7wayomty. Peter is also a CFA from the CFA Institute.
