Nick Owchar

Nick Owchar is an experienced editorial and communications professional with a comprehensive background in writing and development. Currently serving as the Editorial Director at Pitzer College since September 2022, Nick is also a Contributing Writer for both Kirkus Reviews and the Los Angeles Review of Books. Previously, Nick held the position of Director of Communications at Claremont Graduate University, where responsibilities included partnering with the VP of Advancement on communication strategies. Nick has extensive experience in media, having worked as deputy editor for the Books section at the Los Angeles Times and as a writing instructor at Citrus College. Nick's academic credentials include a Master of Arts from Boston University and a B.A. in Economics and Literature from Claremont McKenna College, with ongoing doctoral studies in English at Claremont Graduate University.
