Katy O'Mahony has extensive experience in human resources, with a focus on strategic planning and relationship building. Katy has worked at several companies, starting with Playboy Enterprises, Inc. where they served as the Director of Compensation & Benefits for 20 years. In this role, they managed all benefit plans, ensured legal compliance, and handled employee problem solving.
Following their tenure at Playboy Enterprises, O'Mahony worked as a Freelance Human Resources consultant for Playboy Plus Entertainment, Inc. where they provided HR support on a contractual basis.
Currently, O'Mahony is employed at Pivot Point International where they have held various positions. Katy began as the Senior Director of Human Resources and was responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals. O'Mahony's role included expertise in organizational development, talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, compensation, leadership and professional development, succession planning, competency models, and retention strategies. Recently, they have taken on the role of Assistant Vice President of Human Resources.
Katy O'Mahony obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Katy attended the university from 1985 to 1988. In addition to their degree, Katy has also obtained several certifications over the years. In 2019, they completed a People Analytics certification from LinkedIn. In 2018, they obtained a certification in The Future of Performance Management, also from LinkedIn. In 2017, they obtained a certification in Motivating and Engaging Employees, again from LinkedIn. Katy has also achieved the Senior Professional in Human Resources certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in 2014. Katy also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification from the same institution.
