Tom Grieff

Principal Engineer at Pivot3

Tom Grieff has extensive work experience in the technology and storage industry. Tom began their career as a Field Application Engineer at Western Digital in 1983. In 1986, they joined Compaq Computer Corporation as a Senior Design Engineer, where they proposed and developed the first integrated disk drive. Tom also managed relationships with external companies for integration efforts. In 1990, Grieff moved to HP as the Manager of the ISS Storage Advanced Technology Team, where they set direction and provided technology for HP storage solutions. After 15 years at HP, they joined Pivot3 in 2005 as a Principal Engineer, contributing to the transformation of how customers invest in storage through a revolutionary scale-out architecture. No end dates are provided for their roles at Pivot3 and Compaq Computer Corporation.

Tom Grieff received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, where they studied from 1972 to 1975.
