Glenn Hanna

Glenn Hanna has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Glenn is currently employed as the Director of Software Engineering at PKWARE, a position they have held since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Principal/Lead Software Architect at PKWARE starting from March 2021.

Before joining PKWARE, Glenn had various roles at different companies. Glenn worked as a Yacht Captain at Natural Nine Cruises and Fishing, Inc from June 2014 to the present, where their responsibilities include piloting the yacht, maintaining the engines and yacht, and managing the crew.

Glenn also worked at 21st Century Software as a Principal Software Engineer from February 2017 to February 2021, and at CA Technologies as a Principal Software Engineer from July 2012 to February 2017. At The TJX Companies, Inc., they held the position of Sr. Software Specialist from June 2010 to July 2012.

Glenn's earliest work experience was at IBM, where they worked in various roles from April 2008 to June 2010, including Software Engineer, Systems Programmer, Project Manager, Workload Manager, RACF Administrator/Auditor, and Disaster Recovery Specialist.

Prior to IBM, Glenn worked at Merchant Software Plus as a Sr. Software Engineer from March 1993 to December 2005. Glenn was also employed at Affiliated Computer Services as a Sr. Systems Programmer from January 1995 to June 1997, and at Compuware as a Software Engineer from January 1993 to January 1995.

Glenn's earliest work experience was at Textron Systems, where they worked as a Sr. Systems Programmer from May 1986 to January 1993, handling project leadership, system maintenance, system generations, and disaster recovery planning and testing.

Glenn Hanna attended Franklin Pierce University from 1987 to 1988, where they studied Business Management. Prior to that, from 1984 to 1985, they attended Boston University, focusing on Assembler. Glenn completed their high school education at Joseph P. Keefe Technical High School from 1975 to 1979, specializing in Information Technology. Additionally, Glenn Hanna obtained a certification in z/OS Academy - Debug Explorer from IBM in March 2022.
