Carlos Canals

Carlos was appointed Managing Director, Americas in January 2019. Prior to his current role, Carlos was Chief Integration Officer for High Road Ice Cream where he helped bring together High Road and Ciao Bella Gelato, the craft ice cream business where Carlos was CEO for nearly six years.

Prior to joining Ciao Bella, Carlos was President of UNREAL, the start-up snacking company. In the two years before this, Carlos was President and CEO of Tribe Mediterranean Foods. Carlos also spent 13 years at Kellogg’s working across Latin America, with his final role being General Manager of the snacks division. Carlos had previously spent three years with Nabisco, leading the salty crackers category.

Carlos has lived and worked in Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina and the USA. He has a Post Graduate BA in Marketing from Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico and a BsC in Economics from Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México.
