CEO of Plainspoken – Innovation for Everyone at Plainspoken Digital

Chris Battista has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Chris is currently the CEO of Plainspoken - Innovation for Everyone at Plainspoken Digital since January 2023, where they also served as the Principal, Data Science from March 2021 to January 2023. Additionally, they serve as a Board Member and Investor at Ray Analytics since January 2023.

In the nonprofit sector, Chris has been actively involved with the Florida Community Innovation Foundation since April 2020, where they served as the Board President from April 2020 to January 2023, and currently serves as a Board Member. Chris has also contributed to the Bob Graham Center for Public Service as an Internship Supervisor from August 2021 to December 2022.

In academia, Chris was a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2021 to December 2021. Chris also worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Hawaii at Manoa from October 2020 to October 2021.

Prior to their current roles, Chris gained industry experience as a Data Scientist at Deloitte Consulting from September 2019 to October 2020. Chris also founded Pineview Automation, where they served as a Machine Learning Engineer and Founder from October 2018 to September 2019. Chris was a Technology Strategy Team Leader at Stage Six Inc. from September 2018 to April 2019.

During their time at the University of Florida, Chris held the position of University Scholar from October 2017 to April 2019.

Chris Battista has a diverse education history. Chris obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida. Additionally, Chris earned a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, they have been accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's MBA program and is deferring the start of their studies until 2026. In terms of certifications, Chris is an AutoCAD Certified User, obtained from Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business.
