Jesus Martinez-Manso

Jesus Martinez-Manso is a seasoned professional in machine learning and infrastructure engineering, currently serving as a Senior ML Infrastructure Engineer at Planet since April 2017, where the focus is on developing high-resolution global maps of forest carbon using satellite data. Previously, Jesus held roles including Senior ML Engineering Manager and ML Engineering Manager, effectively leading teams responsible for machine learning algorithms powering various analytical products. Prior experience includes data science roles at Capital One, where contributions spanned fraud detection and mobile payment platform development, as well as a research fellowship at Insight Data Science. Jesus holds a PhD in Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Florida, where significant research accomplishments include advancements in understanding dark matter and galaxy relationships.
