Abubakar Yakubu

Abubakar Yakubu is a dedicated public health professional with extensive experience spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a Project Facilitator at Planned Parenthood Federation of Nigeria, Abubakar collaborates with the Nutrition Manager to assess community needs while supervising ward service providers and health promoters. As a Focal Point Specialist at UNICEF since 2014, Abubakar has focused on tracking immunization program defaults and enhancing community health workers' performance. Previous roles include Field Volunteer with KNCV Tuberculosis Foundation, Trainee Cardiac Sonographer at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Lecturer at Khuddam School of Health Technology, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at Progress and Development Initiative, Quality Assurance Specialist at the World Health Organization, Project Officer at JIBWIS Nigeria, and Exercise Physiologist at Federal Medical Center Katsina. Abubakar holds a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from Ahmadu Bello University and additional qualifications in public health and human physiology.
