Hila Elimelech

Co-Founder & Head of R&D at Plantish

Hila Elimelech is the Co-Founder and Head of Research & Development at Plantish. Prior to their current role, they served as a 3D Printing & Advanced Materials Specialist at the Israeli Ministry of Defense from October 2018 to May 2021. Before that, they were the Vice President of Materials at Nano Dimension from September 2014 to May 2018, where they were responsible for heading the Materials Department.

Elimelech has been associated with the founding of Nano Dimension, and played a key role in tailoring the printer's requirements to materials specifications. Hila has also executed innovative R&D projects to meet product specification for the development of dielectric and conductive inks. Based on their extensive knowledge in nano-particles, polymers and ceramic chemistry, they were instrumental in designing and coordinating the establishment of a fully equipped R&D materials chemistry lab.

Under their leadership, the team at Nano Dimension successfully registered 10 provisional patents related to inkjet printing of printed electronics. Elimelech was also associated with 3 proposals development that raised over $1.5M from the CSO of the Israeli minister of science.

At Plantish, Elimelech is continuing their work in developing innovative solutions for 3D printing and advanced materials. Her passion for making an impact in this field is evident in their dedication to their work, and they are committed to continuing to push the boundaries of what is possible in this rapidly evolving area.

Hila Elimelech has a Ph.D. in Materials Chemistry from The Hebrew University, a Master's Degree in Chemistry of Materials from The Hebrew University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from The Hebrew University.
