Paul Wintermans

Paul Wintermans is an experienced project leader in the field of plant biology, currently serving as Projectleider at PlantLab since March 2021. Prior to this role, Paul worked as a plant researcher at PlantResearch BV from January 2016 to March 2021, focusing on the development and testing of products for the greenhouse industry, including fertilizers, substrates, and plant biostimulants. Paul's academic background includes a PhD from Utrecht University, where research concentrated on the interaction between Arabidopsis thaliana and growth-promoting bacteria. Previous internships at VIB and Utrecht University provided hands-on experience in gene characterization and the study of plant-microbe interactions. Paul holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Biology and Biology, respectively, from Utrecht University.
