Matthew Doyle Olson has held various positions since 2009. In 2009, they worked as a Farmhand and Food Processor. In 2010, they became Program Coordinator for Sustainable Food Systems at College of the Atlantic. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as Software Project Manager for Sustainable Food Systems at IPM Institute of North America. From 2017 to 2019, they were Product Manager and Software Business Analyst at Forte Research Systems, Inc. During this time, they shared solved problems across a product portfolio and built common tools, and had product ownership, SDLC prioritization, release management, and roadmap leadership. In 2019, they were Director of Product at Sonic Foundry Inc., where they facilitated innovation cycle resulting in two funded product line launches, scaled the team from first product hire to seven, and co-led transformation to scrum/agile. In 2021, they became a Product Mentor at Plato.

Matthew Doyle Olson has a M.Phil from College of the Atlantic in Human Ecology, a BA from Macalester College in Cognitive and Neuroscience Studies and Psychology, and a certificate in Sustainability Leadership from Edgewood College. Matthew also has two certifications from The Interaction Design Foundation, one in User Research Methods and Best Practices obtained in September 2017, and one in UI Design Patterns for Successful Software obtained in November 2017.
