Kei Miyagi

Kei Miyagi has a diverse work experience in the field of biosciences and research. Currently, Kei holds the position of Senior Process Development Engineer at Pleno Inc. This role began in January 2023 and is ongoing. Prior to this, Kei worked at Inscripta, Inc. as a Senior Scientist I from April 2021 to January 2023. Before that, Kei was a Process Development Scientist I at Element Biosciences from February 2020 to April 2021.

In 2012, Kei joined Illumina and held various positions within the company. From February 2016 to February 2020, Kei served as a Production Supervisor, responsible for overseeing production chemists and managing inventory and scheduling for commercial diagnostic products. From August 2012 to February 2016, Kei worked as a Sr. Production Chemist, operating and maintaining equipment and preparing reagents for oligonucleotide synthesis.

Prior to joining Illumina, Kei worked at TriLink BioTechnologies as a Production Chemist from January 2006 to August 2012, where they synthesized and characterized modified DNA and RNA. Kei began their career as a Research Assistant at AmProx, Inc. from April 2005 to December 2005, and later worked as a Research Assistant at Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute from January 2003 to January 2004.

Kei Miyagi obtained a Certificate in Biotechnology from MiraCosta College in the years 2004 to 2005. Prior to that, Miyagi pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biology specialized in Molecular Biology from California State University San Marcos from 2000 to 2002.
