Scott Sylliaasen

Scott Sylliaasen has a extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Scott started their career as an Intern in Manufacturing Engineering at Gen-Probe in 2007. Scott then worked as a Co-Op in ICD Leads Development at St. Jude Medical and as a Co-Op in Manufacturing Engineering at Alcon Surgical. In 2008, they joined Tandem Diabetes Care as a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, where they were involved in the design and development of the t:Slim insulin pump and disposable insulin reservoir. Scott also played a role in the development of advanced robotic assembly systems and high-volume manufacturing line. Scott then moved on to Altura Medical as a Research and Development Engineer, followed by roles at Channel Medsystems as a Sr. Engineer and Principal Engineer in R&D. Scott joined Biolinq as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in 2019 and worked there until 2022. Currently, they are working at 1859 Inc as a Staff Mechanical Engineer. Scott's most recent position is with Pleno Inc. as a Staff Mechanical Engineer, which they started in 2023.

Scott Sylliaasen earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 2005. Scott went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, which they completed in 2008.
