Leo Iannacone

Leo Iannacone has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and companies. Leo is currently working at Plentific as the Director of Engineering since January 2022. Prior to this, Leo served as the Head of Engineering at Plentific from February 2020 to January 2022. Leo also worked as an Engineering Team Lead from June 2019 to February 2020, and started their journey at Plentific as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2016 to May 2019.

Before joining Plentific, Leo held various positions at different organizations. From January 2014 to November 2020, they served as the Tech Lead at Debian, where they contributed to the development of the debomatic-webui web interface and maintained packages related to the Node.js platform. Leo was also an Ubuntu and Debian contributor during the same period.

Leo's work experience also includes being a Community and Project Manager at www.ubuntu-it.org from May 2006 to May 2016, where they led the Ubuntu-IT community team. Leo worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Codio, a cloud coding and content platform, from April 2015 to February 2016, and played a crucial role in designing and implementing various aspects of the platform.

Moreover, Leo worked as a Software Architect at Unibo, where they were involved in the development of a software solution for Civil Protection to control and operate a UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle). Leo also served as a Software Architect at PromoxTV, a web application focused on advertising, from March 2012 to June 2013. Additionally, Leo worked as a Software Engineer at GRunner, an application launcher, in 2009.

Leo Iannacone completed their high school education at Liceo Scientifio De Regatis from 2001 to 2005. Leo then attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from 2005 to 2010. Leo continued their education at the same university, earning a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering from 2011 to 2015. Additionally, they also participated in the ERASMUS program and pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at the University of Nice in France for the academic year 2011-2012.
