Jay Taneja

Jay Taneja is an advisor at Plentify and a former research scientist and team lead at IBM Research - Africa. Jay has also worked as a graduate research assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, and as a graduate research intern at Microsoft Research. Their work has focused on improving energy reliability and access in sub-Saharan Africa, primarily using mobile sensing systems, predictive analytics, and machine learning. Jay has also worked on systems, research publications, patents, and analysis to serve our partners and clients.

Jay Taneja received their Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley. Jay also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.
