Dan Calzone is the Growth Marketing Lead at Plex. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Manager of Growth Marketing at Discovery Inc from August 2020 to March 2021. In this role, they led a team of strategic marketers focused on driving subscriber growth for the launch of discovery+.
Previous to their time at Discovery Inc, Dan was the Director of Growth Marketing (SVOD) at AMC Networks from July 2019 to August 2020. In this role they were responsible for the acquisition and retention growth marketing efforts for Sundance Now. During their time at AMC Networks, Dan more than doubled the subscriber base in under one year.
Before joining AMC Networks, Dan was the Sr. Manager of Growth (Streaming Subscriptions) at Endeavor from October 2017 to July 2019. In this role, they managed MLB.tv's paid content from November 2013 to October 2017 and was also a PR & Media Coordinator at Schnur Associates Inc. from September 2013 to December 2013. Dan began their career as a NFL Contributing Writer at Football.com from August 2013 to September 2015.
Dan Calzone attended Eastern Connecticut State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Media Studies.
