Mamta Thakker

Mamta Thakker has a comprehensive and varied work experience in the field of clinical research and project management. Mamta has held various roles in different organizations, showcasing their expertise and versatility.

Starting from their most recent position, Mamta is currently the Director of Clinical Operations at Pliant Therapeutics, a role they assumed in May 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director of Clinical Operations at ChemoCentryx starting from January 2021.

Before transitioning to leadership roles, Mamta served as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager at Puma Biotechnology, Inc. from November 2015 to January 2021. At Puma Biotechnology, they gained valuable experience in managing clinical trials.

Earlier in their career, Mamta held roles as a Principal CRA and Sr. CRA/Consultant at Roche Molecular Systems. Mamta'sresponsibilities at Roche involved participating in the design, planning, and implementation of various projects, including next-generation Blood Screening assays and microbiology assays.

Prior to their time at Roche, Mamta worked at Abbott Hematology as a Senior CRA where they managed and conducted domestic and international clinical studies. Mamta was actively involved in all aspects of the studies, from site selection to executing clinical trials.

Mamta's earlier work experience includes roles as a Clinical Research Associate at BAYER INC, TheraSense Inc, Concentric Medical, and the UCSF Anesthesia Department. In these positions, they demonstrated their proficiency in site management, data collection, protocol development, and database management.

With this diverse and extensive background, Mamta Thakker brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role as Director of Clinical Operations at Pliant Therapeutics.

Mamta Thakker holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the University of Mumbai, completed in 1992. Mamta has additional certifications including Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI - San Francisco Bay Area Chapter in 2015, Supervisory Development Certification from the University of Notre Dame in 2014, and Certified Clinical research Professional (CCRA) from the Association of Clinical Research Professionals in 2012.
