Osama Youssef

Osama Youssef, Ph.D., currently serves as a Research Development Associate II at the University of Utah, focusing on grant writing within the Large Infrastructural Funding Team. Youssef has extensive experience as a scientific reviewer for PLOS and Frontiers and previously held the position of Research Scientist and Team Lead at Huntsman Cancer Institute, where responsibilities included writing and reviewing grant applications, as well as utilizing immunotherapy for treating malignant brain tumors. Engagements also include serving as a board member at the Life Sciences Institute of New Jersey and conducting research on Age-related Macular Degeneration with CRISPR technologies at the John A. Moran Eye Center. Youssef's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Georgia, with earlier research contributions in RNA processing mechanisms.
