Suzanne de Bruijn

Suzanne de Bruijn, PhD, currently serves as a Consultant - Scientific Editor at the Public Library of Science (PLOS), providing editorial consultations on manuscripts for PLOS Biology. Prior experience includes roles as a Scientific Editor for the journals Developmental Cell and Cell Systems at Cell Press, and as an Associate Features Editor for The Plant Cell at the American Society of Plant Biologists, where Suzanne wrote articles highlighting recent publications. Suzanne previously held consultant roles at PLOS Biology and served as a locum editor during a postdoctoral experience. As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the John Innes Centre, research focused on the interaction between nucleosomes and DNA methylation. Academic background includes a PhD from Wageningen University, and studies at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and Leiden University, culminating in a master's degree in Biomolecular Science and a bachelor's degree in Life Science and Technology, respectively.
