Billy Taki

Billy Taki has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Billy most recently worked at Pluang as the Head of Strategy, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they interned at Nubank as a Strategy & Business Development MBA Intern from June to August 2021. Billy also gained experience as a Product Management Intern at Carbon in 2020 and as a Credit Risk Intern at Opportunity International in 2019. Billy held roles at Mesirow Financial, first as a Vice President of Private Equity from July 2018 to May 2019, and then as a Private Equity Investment Associate from July 2015 to July 2018. Before that, they worked as an Investment Banking Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from July 2013 to June 2015 and as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Piper Jaffray in the summer of 2012. Billy began their career as a Retail Finance Intern at Walgreens in 2011 and as an Intern at The Ronin Group from August 2010 to May 2011.

Billy Taki completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2009 to 2013. In 2011, they also had a brief experience in the field of Finance at Università Bocconi. Billy then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in International Development and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) between 2020 and 2022. During the same period, Billy also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurship & Innovation at The Wharton School, which started in 2019 and ended in 2022.
