Hector Maza has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Hector currently holds the position of VP Electrolyzer Sales at Plug Power since June 2020. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2020, they served as the VP Global Business Development at Giner Inc. Before joining Giner Inc, Hector was the National Sales Manager at Balda from 2010 to 2012. Hector also held the role of VP Business Development at General SynFuels Int'l from 2008 to 2010.

Hector's earlier experiences include working as a Market Analyst at VDC Research from 2009 to 2010, WW Sales/Business Development at Methode Electronics / Tribotek Inc from 2006 to 2008, and as the CEO & Co-Founder of InTouch Solutions from 2003 to 2006.

Hector started their career at EloTouch Systems / Tyco Electronics, where they served as the Regional Sales Manager for Europe from 1995 to 2003. Hector also worked at Raychem Corporation / Tyco International as a Sourcing & Procurement Manager from 1995 to 2000. In this role, they managed the relocation of Material Science factories from Europe to Latin America and handled sourcing from various regions. Additionally, they trained and supervised a team of professionals in San Diego, USA, and Tijuana, Mexico.

Hector Maza attended the Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México from 1988 to 1993, where they obtained a B. Sc in Chemical Engineering. In 1994 to 1995, they pursued an MBA at the University of Hartford with a focus on Business. In 1996 to 1997, they obtained a Certificate in International Finance from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, during the same period, they attended Stanford University to study Start-Up companies. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1992, they attended the Centro Cultural Dante Alighieri and received a Certificate in Italian. Lastly, from 1984 to 1986, they obtained a Certificate in French from the Instituto Frances de America Latina (IFAL).
