SENIOR CLOUD Architect - Multi-Cloud Lead

LOCATION: Remote, but would prefer in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia (DMV) or San Antonio, TX area

CLEARANCE LEVEL:  TS/SCI with poly -  mixed unclass remote work

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development of high impact solutions using best practices to solve customers’ diverse challenges across the department of defense and national security landscape
  • Interact and meet with the customer directly to understand their business problems, help with identifying pain points and solutions that meet their needs at all phases of their cloud journey
  • Work collaboratively with other consultants and architects, participating in daily scrum activities and related ceremonies
  • Write documentation in the form of runbooks, diagrams, and other relevant material that supports customer requirements and deliverables
  • Travel to customer sites on occasion
  • Architect multi-cloud and on-prem edge solutions using state of the art technologies
  • Design Software Defined Networking solutions that align with multi-cloud and on-prem requirements

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Experience with engineering solutions within a multi-cloud environment (AWS and Azure)
  • Experience with software defined networking tools (Versa)
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern processing techniques on CPUs, including vectorization, pipelining, and caching
  • Demonstrated understanding of memory hierarchies from CPU cache to NUMA DRAM
  • Experience with Nutanix Prism (multi-cloud management) system
  • Experience with high speed networking, low latency protocols and hardware to include AWS EFA and/or Infiniband, knowledge of RDMA
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with Kubernetes (containerization solutions)
  • Experience programming in two or more software programming languages
  • Experience with delivering modern technology stacks using cloud services, such as microservices and infrastructure-as-code

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • At least 8+ years of IT implementation experience in the public sector, Department of Defense, and/or national security industry
  • At least 5+ years of experience supporting or conducting high performance computing operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field. Equivalent experience considered
  • Customer facing skills with ability to drive discussions with customer engineers as well as senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with public sector, governance and compliance in the cloud, NIST SP 800-53, FEDRAMP, DOD cloud computing security requirements guide (CC SRG), DOD secure cloud computing architecture (SCCA), DOD architecture framework (DODAF), and other relevant frameworks.
