Josef Koza

Josef Koza has extensive work experience in the field of software development and engineering.

Josef began their career at Orion Enterprises, Inc in 2000, where they worked as an Analyst. Their responsibilities included developing a MySQL database with a web front-end and providing translations of technical documents.

In 2001, they joined NSWC Dahlgren as a Computer Scientist. During their time there, they architected, developed, tested, and deployed various systems for government agencies such as the Navy, Marine Corps, and Army. Josef also led a team to develop a sensor integration and remote weapons control system, which received WSESRB certification.

In 2012, Mr. Koza became a Board Member of the Department Software Executive Steering Group at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division. Josef directed research and prototype software projects, reviewed proposals, and selected the most promising projects for funding.

In 2014, they joined SimVentions as a Principle Member of the Technical Staff. Josef developed and deployed a war room automation system using F#, the Microsoft Speech library, and the Stanford Natural Language Processor.

In 2015, Mr. Koza started working at ManTech International Corporation as a MCISRE Accelerator Software Technical Lead. Josef provided technical solutions and designed enterprise solutions while establishing a rapid software development process. Josef also established the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process for the MCISRE Accelerator.

In 2017, they joined Powertek Corporation as a Principal Application Developer. In this role, they continued to develop applications and provide technical expertise.

Most recently, in 2018, they joined Plus3 IT Systems as a Senior Full Stack Cloud Developer. Josef utilizes their skills and experience to develop cloud-based solutions.

Josef Koza attended the University of Mary Washington from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained two bachelor's degrees. Josef earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and another in International Relations and Affairs. In terms of additional certifications, Josef received the CompTIA Security+ ce certification from CompTIA in December 2016. Additionally, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster certification from Scrum Alliance in October 2012.
