Ernesto Guevara-Ortiz B.Eng MBA has a wealth of experience in the telecommunications industry, having worked for TELUS in various roles including Construction Manager and National RAN Support Centre. Ernesto has also held positions in RF Operations for both Western and Eastern Canada, as well as Logical Engineering. Additionally, Ernesto has served as President Elect and Director of Programs for the PMI Vancouver Island Chapter, where they were responsible for planning and executing chapter meetings and events. Ernesto has also gained expertise in project management through their MBA in Strategic Project Management from Université Laval. Ernesto has further expanded their knowledge in the field of corrosion engineering with training from NACE International and has experience in structural engineering through their work at SPAR Consultants Structural Engineers. Ernesto has also participated in the Concours KGP competition, showcasing their skills in project management and case resolution.

Ernesto Guevara-Ortiz has a diverse and extensive education history spanning various fields of study. Ernesto obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in 2014. In the same year, they also completed a Health and Safety in Construction Sites certificate from Collège Ahuntsic College-ASP Construction.

Ernesto also completed the "Construction Management Foundations" course on LinkedIn in 2018. In 2017, Ernesto obtained the Roof Top Hazard Awareness certification from Fall Protection Group Inc. Moreover, they received their Civil Engineer Professional License from the National Professional Council of Engineering of Colombia (COPNIA) in 2015.

In the past, Ernesto also participated in English as a Second Language (ESL) programs at Memorial University of Newfoundland and University of New Brunswick. Furthermore, they obtained an Associate's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rimouski College.
