Mary Kate McBrayer has a well-rounded work experience in the field of research and scientific analysis. Mary Kate began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Weill Cornell Medical College in 2003. Later, they joined Cornell University where they obtained their Ph.D. under the supervision of Dr. Richard Cerione. During their time at Cornell, Mary Kate managed a Signaling Pathway Analysis research project and collaborated with other research scientists.
In 2008, Mary Kate joined the Nathan Kline Institute as a Research Scientist. In this role, they oversaw various research projects, including a Phenotype Comparison and a Lysosomal pH Investigation. Mary Kate was responsible for project design, execution, and interpretation. Their contributions led to the publication of papers related to these projects.
Most recently, Mary Kate has been working at PMV Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Since 2015, they initially held the position of Research Scientist before being promoted to Principal Scientist in July 2021. Their work at PMV Pharmaceuticals involves significant responsibilities in scientific research and innovation, which are currently ongoing.
Mary Kate McBrayer completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of West Georgia from 1998 to 2002. Mary Kate then pursued their Ph.D. in Chemistry and Molecular Biology at Cornell University from 2002 to 2008.
