Uma Sharma

Uma Sharma has a strong background in human resources, with over 19 years of experience in various companies. Uma currently serves as the Head of Business HR & Talent Acquisition at PNB Housing Finance Limited. Prior to this, they were the Deputy Vice President of Human Resources at HDFC ERGO General Insurance, where they collaborated with senior leaders and designed HR strategies to promote growth and organizational effectiveness. Uma also held roles as AVP of Human Resources at Apollo Munich Health Insurance Company Ltd., General Manager of Human Resources at VLCC Health Care Ltd., and General Manager of Human Resources at Max Bupa Health Insurance Co. Ltd. Uma started their career as an HR Executive at Sony India and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in talent management, performance management, employee relations, and leadership development.

Uma Sharma has a diverse education history. In 2015-2016, they attended the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, where they completed a Senior Management Program in General Management. From 2003 to 2006, they pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration with a focus on HR & Finance at Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2002, Uma Sharma obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

In addition to their formal education, Uma Sharma has also obtained various certifications. In 2018, they completed the HR as a Business Partner workshop offered by the Society for Human Resource Management.
