Philipp Lanik has an extensive work history in the gaming and digital entertainment industry. Philipp is currently the Co-Founder & Managing Director at pnkfrg studios, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they had a long tenure at King, where they served various roles including VP, Studio General Manager from September 2015 to July 2020, Executive Producer for Candy Crush Saga from May 2013 to August 2015, and Business Manager for Candy Crush Saga from August 2012 to April 2013. Before joining King, Philipp worked at bwin.party digital entertainment in different positions such as Product Manager Social Media & Social Gaming from May 2011 to July 2012, Team Leader Online Marketing from August 2009 to May 2011, Product Manager Games from February 2006 to August 2009, and Product Manager Marketing/Portal from August 2004 to January 2006. Philipp began their career at com_unit, consultancy for strategic communications as an Account Executive from December 2002 to April 2004, and before that, they worked at firstsite, pr and web development (Nokia Mobile Phones Alps) as a Project/Content Manager from December 1999 to July 2002.
Philipp Lanik attended the Technologisches Gewerbemuseum where they obtained a general qualification for university entrance in electronic engineering in 1994. Following this, they pursued higher education at FHWien der WKW from 2000 to 2004, earning a Master of Corporate Communication. The program focused on integrated communications management for corporations. In terms of additional certifications, Philipp Lanik completed the "INSEAD - Innovation in the Age of Disruption" course at INSEAD in 2021. Philipp also completed a Leadership Program at Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth in 2016, and a Crisis Management and Emergency Preparedness course at Harvard Extension School in 2012.
