Calvin Lu has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. Calvin worked at Pocket Gems starting in 2017, where they held various roles including Senior Game Designer, Technical Game Designer, and Associate Technical Game Designer. Prior to that, they were self-employed as a Dance Instructor specializing in Lindy Hop. Calvin also had significant involvement in the gaming field during their time at UC Berkeley DeCal. Calvin served as the President of the gaming club, organized tournaments, and facilitated a video game studies and design class. Calvin also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, contributing to the development of an educational puzzle game.
Calvin Lu attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2012 to 2016 where they pursued a Bachelor's degree. During their time there, Calvin double majored in Computer Science and Psychology. Calvin completed their studies and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Computer Science and Psychology.
