Job Description:
As the Software Engineering Director at Podimetrics, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software engineers to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that power our remote patient monitoring platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineering, clinical operations, and data science, to deliver high-quality software products that meet the needs of our customers and drive the company's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in AWS, Python, and ReactJS, as well as proven leadership skills and a passion for
building innovative healthcare technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of software engineers and engineering managers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help them succeed and grow in their roles.
Define and drive the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap for our software products, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, prioritize features, and define product specifications, ensuring alignment with customer needs and business priorities.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions using modern technologies and best practices, with a focus on AWS, Python, and ReactJS.
Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software releases.
Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance processes to maintain code quality, reliability, and performance.
Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve productivity, efficiency, and innovation within the software engineering team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements, organizational growth, and talent development, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 8 years in a leadership or management role
Strong technical expertise in AWS cloud services, Python programming, and ReactJS framework
Proven track record of leading and managing software development teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices, with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security
Experience in the healthcare or medical technology industry is a plus
AWS certification(s) and/or relevant professional certifications are preferred
