Mary Janus

Mary Janus has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Mary worked as an Onboarding Specialist at Point B starting in 2022. Prior to that, they had roles at Mary Janus Studios and Musikey as a Private Acting, Voice, and Piano teacher. Mary transitioned to fully online teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic and was responsible for cultivating new clients, coordinating introductory sessions, and maintaining communication with parents.

Mary also worked at Junior Theatre as a Teaching Artist, where they quickly adapted to new classes and students, embraced spontaneous changes, and fostered a professional and safe learning environment. Mary served as an Executive Producer and Production Manager at Paper Rose Productions, where they conducted online meetings and navigated a COVID-19 quarantined filming process.

In their previous roles, Mary was an Ensemble Music Director at J Company, teaching music and performance skills to children. Mary also worked as a Development Assistant at Clearity, assisting with program management, volunteer recruitment, and event coordination. Additionally, they served as an Office Manager at Hale Engineering & Surveying, Inc., and worked as a Front Desk and Assistant at Copley Library - University of San Diego.

Mary Janus attended the University of San Diego College of Arts and Sciences from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Arts and Sciences with a focus on Theatre and Music. Before that, they studied at The University of Hartford: The Hartt School of Music, Dance, and Theatre from 2011 to 2012, but did not complete a degree in Musical Theatre. Prior to that, Mary attended Roosevelt University: Chicago College of Performing Arts from 2009 to 2010, again without completing a degree, with a focus on Musical Theatre. In addition to their academic pursuits, Mary has obtained various certifications, including "Becoming Indistractable" and "Extreme Focus for Effective Performance" from LinkedIn in September 2022. Mary also completed "Anti-Harassment Training for Employees- CA" from Succeed Management Solutions, a KPA Company, in December 2020, and "Mandated Reporter" from the California Department of Social Services in October 2019. In February 2019, Mary obtained certifications in "ETAP and Blackbaud" from Blackbaud.
