About the role

The Senior Human Resources Generalist supports and administers human resources, payroll, and administrative duties for our Point Manila office. This role will report to our US-based head of human resources while working closely with Point’s Manila site manager to ensure the smooth operation of our Philippines Team Headquarters. The Senior Human Resources Generalist will assist with benefits administration, Manila team onboarding, payroll, managing facility needs, compliance with workplace safety regulations, and more. The Senior Human Resources Generalist handles sensitive employee data with discretion and professionalism. As our inaugural Human Resources employee, the Senior Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in supporting the growth of Point as a global organization.

Note: This position will be required to work in a hybrid environment (two days from home & three days in the office) from 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PHST generally.

Your responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Onboarding: Working with Point’s Manila Site Manager and cross-functionally with US-based Human Resources, Training, Payroll, and IT teams to onboard new Manila employees.
  • Benefits Administration: Presenting, supporting, and managing employee benefits coverage for new and existing Manila team members.
  • Employee Records Management: Maintaining and managing Manila personnel files and employee records while ensuring the timely setup of accounts for new team members.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Timely and accurate filing of all government-mandated contributions while creating reports and presentations on relevant HR metrics.

Payroll

  • Payroll Processing: Managing the [bi-monthly] payroll processing and addressing discrepancies.
  • Manager Support: Provide training and development support to managers on payroll processes, including reviewing employee’s Time & Attendance and Travel & Expense reimbursement reports.
  • Payroll Representative: Act as the liaison between the US-based payroll team and the local Philippines accounting firm, payroll vendor, and local government units..
  • Compliance: Ensuring timely statutory filings and payments are processed in accordance with government mandates.

Facilities

  • Space Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize office space usage.
  • Facility Management: Assist site manager with facility-related needs, including IT support, supplies, shipping & receiving, transportation, office access, maintenance, and vendor management.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility complies with relevant laws, health and safety regulations, and building codes.
  • Safety and Security: Conduct regular safety inspections, implement security measures, and respond to emergencies.

Administrative

  • Data Management: Accurately update and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and records with attention to detail. Ensure data security and integrity through regular backups and proper storage protocols.
  • Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and partners. Facilitate communication between team members and departments.
  • Project Support: Assist with the coordination and execution of special projects, events, and initiatives. Collaborate with team members to contribute to the success of project deliverables. Conduct research and gather information to support project objectives.

Talent Acquisition

  • Interview candidates in the final stages of the recruiting process to assess teamwork, communication, and cultural fit with the team.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll, and Office Administration, preferably in a global capacity for US-based organizations
  • Experience with shift differential pay/processes as well as working in a hybrid work environment
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with Mac systems and enterprise tools (Apple Business Manager, JAMF, Chrome, Zoom, etc.)
  • Property management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with others
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with colleagues across teams and external vendors
  • Attention to detail and adaptability to changing technology
  • Ability to prioritize and switch tasks efficiently
  • Experience in small team building and growth
  • Willingness to travel in and around the metro Manila area

Compensation at Point will be determined by skills and experience. 

Point has identified the expected monthly basic salary range for this role as follows:

  • Basic monthly salary range:  
    • 60,000-150,000 PHP

This does not include any other potential components of the compensation package, including benefits, allowances, and perks outlined above.
