Omar Tazi

Omar Tazi is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in portfolio management and trading. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Point72 since August 2021, Omar previously held the position of Managing Director at HSBC from January 2015 to August 2021, where responsibilities included heading G10 and Structured Rates Trading for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to that, Omar was the Global Head of JPY Rates and co-head of G7 rates trading at HSBC Global Markets from April 2011 to August 2021. Additional roles include Head of Non-Core Rates market-making at HSBC between January 2010 and June 2011, Head of Proprietary Trading at Mizuho Capital Markets in 2008-2009, and working in proprietary trading for G10 Rates and FX at BNP Paribas from 2001 to 2008. Omar holds a degree from ENSAE Paris, earned between 1991 and 1995.
