Matthew Rix

Matthew Rix has a diverse work experience in the betting and trading industry. Matthew currently holds the position of Chief Trading and Operations Officer at PointsBet, starting in June 2023. Before that, they served as the Head of Trading - Australia at PointsBet from May 2022 to June 2023. Prior to joining PointsBet, Matthew was the Head of Data and Performance at Ciaron Maher Racing from May 2021 to May 2022. Matthew also worked at Sportsbet for several years, holding various roles such as Head of Commercial- Risk and Trading, Commercial Trading Manager - Sports, Trading Manager - Domestic Sports, and Sports Team Lead (Rugby). Before their time at Sportsbet, Matthew was a Director at MJR trading and a Trader at BetChoice Corporation and Centrebet.

Matthew Rix attended St Patrick's College Sutherland from 1997 to 2002. Matthew then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Wollongong from 2003 to 2005.
