Sam Venables

Sam Venables has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sam is currently the Head of Platform Engineering at PointsBet since February 2024, where they previously held the role of Front End Platform Manager from June 2021 to February 2024. Prior to joining PointsBet, Sam worked at Telstra Health - ADCC as a Software Development Team Lead from April 2018 to August 2018, and as a Senior Software Developer from August 2017 to April 2018. Sam also gained experience as a Senior Software Engineer at the Australian Council for Educational Research from August 2010 to July 2017. Sam's earlier career includes roles such as Senior Software Developer at EMIS Health from July 2008 to December 2009, Senior SharePoint Developer at Egton Education (EMIS subsidiary) from August 2008 to July 2009, and Senior Web Developer at Egton Software Services (EMIS subsidiary) from February 2006 to August 2007.

Sam Venables attended the University of Oxford from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Physics.
